Vocal guru and pav bhaji
DAY 5, Evening (13 July 2010)
Again, walked at the racecourse with Kunal at late noon. At night, brought to see his classical Hindustani vocal guru. Some calm 78 year-old he is. Yet real. Reflected in his bitching about how dirty his neighbours and Bollywood singing offers can be.
I think I can love this old man.
Right after the visit, we went for sinfully buttery Pav Bhajis for late dinner. -

Day 4, Evening (12 July 2010)
कैफे गोवा, बांद्रा Café Goa, Bandra
Went to Café Goa in Bandra, a youth hangout place for an event, “Show & Tell” by a collective who calls themselves Bombay Elektrik Projekt. Sharing of traveling episodes were made. From a girl with a crocodile story to a boy with some yacht from Maldives and back. Kunal expectedly made himself visible enough and nudged me into sharing my own; so I stood for a good couple of minutes upfront, impromptu of some small journeys in South East Asia.
“Brunei is among the most uninspiring countries”, I said, partially making myself a sell-out.“Post-9/11… and as a Muslim technically, I have been stopped a couple of times at the Singapore’s checkpoint”
And I added,“like all Muslim boys, I have Muhamad as my middle name”.
